Removal [04/2013 - ]: Procedure

  1. CUSTOMIZE POWER TILT AND POWER TELESCOPIC STEERING COLUMN SYSTEM 

    See step  2 [04/2013 - 08/2015], or see step  2 [08/2015 - 10/2016], or see step  2 [10/2016 - 10/2017], or see step  2 [10/2017 - 09/2020], or see step  2 [09/2020 - 11/2021], or see step  2 [11/2021 - ]

  2. ALIGN FRONT WHEELS FACING STRAIGHT AHEAD 
  3. REMOVE HORN BUTTON ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [04/2013 - ]

  4. REMOVE STEERING WHEEL ASSEMBLY 

    See step  3 [04/2013 - 10/2016], or see step  3 [10/2016 - 11/2021], or see step  3 [11/2021 - ]

  5. REMOVE STEERING COLUMN COVER (for Lower Side) 
    1. Remove the 3 screws.

    2. Disengage the 2 claws and remove the steering column cover (lower).

  6. REMOVE TILT AND TELESCOPIC SWITCH 
    1. Slide the slider to release the lock, and then disconnect the yellow airbag connector from the spiral cable with sensor sub-assembly.

      NOTE:

      When disconnecting any airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.

    2. Disconnect the tilt and telescopic connector from the tilt and telescopic switch.

    3. Disengage the claw and pull out the tilt and telescopic switch.
