Removal [08/2015 - 10/2017]: Procedure

  1. RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  2. REMOVE FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT 

    Refer to REMOVAL [04/2013 - 10/2017]

  3. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10 [08/2015 - 10/2016] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10 [10/2016 - 10/2017]

  4. DRAIN ENGINE OIL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  5. DISCONNECT NO. 1 COOLER REFRIGERANT DISCHARGE HOSE 
    1. Remove the bolt and disconnect the No. 1 cooler refrigerant discharge hose from the compressor and magnetic clutch.

    2. Remove the O-ring from the No. 1 cooler refrigerant discharge hose.
      NOTE:

      Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent moisture and foreign matter from entering them.

  6. DISCONNECT SUCTION HOSE 
    1. Remove the bolt and disconnect the suction hose from the compressor and magnetic clutch.

    2. Remove the O-ring from the suction hose.
      NOTE:

      Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent moisture and foreign matter from entering them.

  7. REMOVE OIL FILTER BRACKET 
    1. Remove the bolt, nut and oil filter bracket.

  8. REMOVE OIL FILTER BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the connector.

    2. Disengage the 2 clamps to disconnect the wire harness.
    3. Remove the bolt, 2 nuts and oil filter bracket sub-assembly.

      HINT: 

      Collect the engine oil in a container.

    4. Remove the oil filter bracket gasket.
  9. REMOVE COMPRESSOR AND MAGNETIC CLUTCH 
    1. Disconnect the connector.

    2. Remove the 2 bolts and nut.

    3. Using an E8 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the stud bolt and compressor and magnetic clutch.

      HINT: 

      Remove the compressor and magnetic clutch from the vehicle with the stud bolt remaining in the compressor and magnetic clutch.
