Installation [04/2013 - 08/2015]: Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2015 Lexus IS 250 and 2014 Lexus IS 250. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. INSTALL LOWER RADIATOR SUPPORT 
    1. Install the 2 lower radiator supports to the radiator assembly.
  2. INSTALL RADIATOR SUPPORT CUSHION 
    1. Install the 2 radiator support cushions to the radiator assembly.
  3. INSTALL RADIATOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Engage the 3 guides.
    2. Engage the 3 claws and install the fan shroud assembly to the radiator assembly.
      NOTE:

      Do not damage the radiator assembly when installing the fan shroud assembly.

    3. Install the radiator assembly with the fan assembly to the vehicle.
      NOTE:

      Do not apply excessive force to the condenser assembly or pipe when installing the radiator assembly.

  4. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM ECU OUTLET DUCT 
    1. Install the engine room ECU outlet duct to the fan shroud assembly.
  5. CONNECT COOLER CONDENSER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Engage the 2 guides.
    2. Engage the 2 claws and connect the cooler condenser assembly to the radiator assembly.
      NOTE:

      Do not damage the cooler condenser assembly or radiator assembly when installing the cooler condenser assembly.

  6. INSTALL UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the upper radiator support sub-assembly with the 5 bolts.

      Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf/cm, 71 in.lbf) 

    2. Engage the 6 clamps and connect the wire harness to the upper radiator support sub-assembly.
    3. Connect the 2 horn connectors.
  7. CONNECT ENGINE ROOM MAIN WIRE 
    1. Connect the cooling fan ECU connector.
    2. Engage the 7 clamps and connect the engine room main wire from the upper radiator support sub-assembly.
  8. CONNECT NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE 
    1. Connect the No. 2 radiator hose to the radiator assembly and slide the clip to secure it.
    2. Install a new radiator hose clamp to the fan shroud assembly.
    3. Engage the clamp and connect the No. 2 radiator hose to the radiator hose clamp.
  9. INSTALL NO. 1 RADIATOR HOSE 
    1. Install the No. 1 radiator hose to the radiator assembly and water inlet and slide the 2 clips to secure them.
  10. INSTALL RADIATOR RESERVE TANK ASSEMBLY 
    1. Engage the 2 claws and install the radiator reserve tank assembly to the fan shroud assembly.
    2. Connect the clamp and wire harness to the radiator reserve tank assembly.
    3. Connect the radiator reserve tank hose to the water inlet and slide the clip to secure it.
  11. INSTALL HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  12. CONNECT HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Engage the 2 clamps and connect the hood lock control cable assembly to the upper radiator support sub-assembly.
  13. INSTALL HOOD LOCK RELEASE LEVER PROTECTOR 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  14. INSTALL INLET NO. 1 AIR CLEANER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 74

  15. ADD ENGINE COOLANT 

    See step  5

  16. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  17. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER 
  18. INSTALL V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 104

  19. INSTALL MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY (w/ Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System) 

    Refer to INSTALLATION [04/2013 - 10/2016]

  20. INSTALL COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3
