Installation [04/2013 - 08/2015]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL FUEL PRESSURE PULSATION DAMPER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Apply a light coat of engine oil to the threads and gasket seating surface of the fuel pressure pulsation damper assembly.
    2. Install 2 new gaskets, the fuel tube sub-assembly and fuel pressure pulsation damper assembly to the fuel pump assembly.

      *1 Gasket
      *2 Fuel Pressure Pulsation Damper Assembly
      *3 Fuel Tube Sub-assembly
    3. Using SST, tighten the fuel pressure pulsation damper assembly to the fuel pump assembly.

      *a Length of SST 52 mm (2.05 in.)
      *b Length of Torque Wrench 180 mm (7.09 in.)
      • SST: 09612-24014 
        1. 09617-24011

      without SST [Torque (N.m (kgf/cm, ft.lbf))] 

      Torque: 40 N.m (408 kgf/cm, 30 ft.lbf) 

      with SST [Reading of Torque wrench (N.m (kgf/cm, ft.lbf))] 

      Torque: 31 N.m (316 kgf/cm, 23 ft.lbf) 

      HINT: 

      • This torque value is effective when SST is parallel to the torque wrench.
      • The "with SST" torque value is effective when using SST with a fulcrum length of 52 mm (2.05 in.).
      • The "with SST" torque value is effective when using a torque wrench with a fulcrum length of 180 mm (7.09 in.).
      • If using a torque wrench with a different length, or connecting the torque wrench and SST at an angle, refer to the alternate torque values.

  2. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  3. CONNECT NO. 2 VENTILATION HOSE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  4. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

    Refer to INITIALIZATION [04/2013 - 06/2014] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [06/2014 - 08/2015]

  5. INSPECT FOR FUEL LEAK 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  6. INSTALL V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 104
