Removal [11/2021 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER CAP 
    1. Using a screwdriver, disengage the 2 claws as shown in the illustration and remove the shift lever cap from the shift position indicator.

      *a Protective Tape
      NOTE:

      Do not damage the shift lever cap and shift position indicator.

      HINT: 

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  2. REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY (TWC: Rear Catalyst) 

    Refer to REMOVAL [11/2021 - ]

  3. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 FLOOR HEAT INSULATOR 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  4. DISCONNECT FLOOR SHIFT GEAR SHIFTING ROD SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Move the shift lever to N.
    2. Remove the nut and disconnect the floor shift gear shifting rod sub-assembly from the lever of the transmission floor shift assembly.

  5. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [11/2021 - ]

  6. REMOVE NO. 1 CONSOLE BOX DUCT 
    1. Disengage the clamp to disconnect the wire harness from the No. 1 console box duct.

    2. Remove the 2 clips and No. 1 console box duct.

  7. REMOVE TRANSMISSION FLOOR SHIFT ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the shift lock control ECU connector.

    2. Disengage the 4 clamps to disconnect the wire harness from the transmission floor shift assembly.
    3. Disconnect the transmission control switch connector.

    4. Remove the 4 bolts and transmission floor shift assembly from the vehicle body.
