Removal [08/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE TURBOCHARGER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [08/2015 - ]

  2. REMOVE COMPRESSOR ASSEMBLY WITH PULLEY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [08/2015 - 10/2017] , or refer to REMOVAL [10/2017 - 11/2021] , or refer to REMOVAL [11/2021 - 09/2022] , or refer to REMOVAL [09/2022 - ]

  3. REMOVE NO. 1 COMPRESSOR MOUNTING BRACKET 
    1. Remove the 4 bolts and No. 1 compressor mounting bracket.

  4. REMOVE NO. 3 EXHAUST MANIFOLD HEAT INSULATOR 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts and No. 3 exhaust manifold heat insulator.

  5. REMOVE WATER BY-PASS PIPE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 5 water by-pass hose from the water by-pass pipe assembly.

    2. Remove the 2 bolts to disconnect the water by-pass pipe assembly from the cylinder block sub-assembly.
    3. Disconnect the oil pressure switching valve assembly connector.

    4. Disengage the 3 clamps to disconnect the wire harness from the water inlet.
    5. Remove the 2 nuts and disconnect the water by-pass pipe assembly from the water inlet housing.
    6. Remove the gasket from the water inlet housing.
  6. REMOVE NO. 4 WATER BY-PASS PIPE 
    1. Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 4 water by-pass hose from the No. 4 water by-pass pipe.

    2. Remove the bolt to disconnect the No. 4 water by-pass pipe from the cylinder block sub-assembly.
    3. Remove the 2 nuts and disconnect the No. 4 water by-pass pipe from the water inlet housing.

    4. Remove the gasket from the water inlet housing.
  7. REMOVE WATER INLET HOUSING 
    1. Remove the 4 bolts, nut and water inlet housing from the cylinder block sub-assembly.

    2. Remove the 3 gaskets from the water inlet housing.
  8. REMOVE THERMOSTAT (for Cylinder Block) 
    1. Remove the thermostat (for Cylinder Block) from the cylinder block sub-assembly.
    2. Remove the gasket from the thermostat (for Cylinder Block).
