Installation [04/2013 - 08/2015]: Procedure

- INSTALL TIMING GEAR CASE OR TIMING CHAIN CASE OIL SEAL
- Apply MP grease to the lip of a new timing gear case or timing chain case oil seal.NOTE:
Keep the lip free of foreign matter.
- Using SST and a hammer, tap in the timing gear case or timing chain case oil seal until its surface is flush with the timing chain or belt cover sub-assembly edge.
*a Standard depth - SST: 09223-2201009506-35010
Standard depth
0 to 1.0mm (0 to 0.0394 in.)
NOTE:- Keep the lip free of foreign matter.
- Do not tap the timing gear case or timing chain case oil seal at an angle.
- Do not deform the timing gear case or timing chain case oil seal.
- Make sure that the timing gear case or timing chain case oil seal is not protruded from the timing chain or belt cover sub-assembly.
- Wipe off MP grease on the crankshaft.
- Make sure that the lip of the timing gear case or timing chain case oil seal is not turned over.
- Apply MP grease to the lip of a new timing gear case or timing chain case oil seal.
- INSTALL CRANKSHAFT TIMING GEAR KEY
- Install the crankshaft timing gear key to the crankshaft groove.
- INSTALL CRANKSHAFT PULLEY
- CONNECT WIRE HARNESS (for 2WD)
- Install the wire harness bracket with the bolt.
Torque: 10 N.m (102 kgf/cm, 7 ft.lbf)
- Connect the engine oil pressure switch assembly connector.
- Install the wire harness bracket with the bolt.
- INSTALL V-RIBBED BELT

- INSPECT FOR OIL LEAK
