Removal [04/2013 - 10/2016]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disengage the claw and disconnect the shift hole cover sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.

    2. Turn the shift lever knob sub-assembly counterclockwise and remove it.

  2. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END LH 
    1. for Hard Type:
      1. Using a moulding remover, disengage the 3 clips in the direction indicated by the arrow (1) in the illustration.

      2. Pull the instrument panel finish panel end LH in the direction indicated by the arrow (2) in the illustration to disengage the 3 guides and remove the instrument panel finish panel end LH.
    2. for Soft Type:
      1. Using a moulding remover, disengage the claw and 2 clips in the direction indicated by the arrow (1) in the illustration.

      2. Pull the instrument panel finish panel end LH in the direction indicated by the arrow (2) in the illustration to disengage the 3 guides and remove the instrument panel finish panel end LH.
  3. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END RH 
    1. for Hard Type:
      1. Using a moulding remover, disengage the 3 clips in the direction indicated by the arrow (1) in the illustration.

      2. Pull the instrument panel finish panel end RH in the direction indicated by the arrow (2) in the illustration to disengage the 3 guides and remove the instrument panel finish panel end RH.
    2. for Soft Type:
      1. Using a moulding remover, disengage the claw and 2 clips in the direction indicated by the arrow (1) in the illustration.

      2. Pull the instrument panel finish panel end RH in the direction indicated by the arrow (2) in the illustration to disengage the 3 guides and remove the instrument panel finish panel end RH.
  4. REMOVE FRONT PANEL GARNISH LH 
    1. Remove the 2 screws.

    2. Disengage the 5 clips to remove the front panel garnish LH.
  5. REMOVE FRONT PANEL GARNISH RH 
    1. Remove the 2 screws.

    2. Disengage the 5 clips to remove the front panel garnish RH.
  6. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 CONSOLE BOX INSERT 
    1. Disengage the clip in the direction indicated by the arrow (1) in the illustration.

    2. Pull the front No. 1 console box insert in the direction indicated by the arrow (2) in the illustration to disengage the guide and remove the front No. 1 console box insert.
  7. REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 CONSOLE BOX INSERT 
    1. Disengage the clip in the direction indicated by the arrow (1) in the illustration.

    2. Pull the front No. 2 console box insert in the direction indicated by the arrow (2) in the illustration to disengage the guide and remove the front No. 2 console box insert.
  8. REMOVE CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the screw.

    2. Move the shift lever to N.
    3. Disengage the 11 claws, clip and 7 guides as shown in the illustration.

    4. Disconnect each connector to remove the console panel sub-assembly.
  9. REMOVE LEXUS DISPLAY AUDIO CONTROLLER (for Radio and Display Type) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

  10. REMOVE REMOTE TOUCH (for Multi-Media Module Receiver Type) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

  11. REMOVE NO. 2 CONSOLE BOX SILENCER PAD 
    1. Remove the 2 No. 2 console box silencer pads.

  12. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL CUP HOLDER 
    1. Remove the 4 screws and remove the instrument panel cup holder.

  13. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX REGISTER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Using a moulding remover, disengage the 6 claws, 2 clips and guide and remove the console box register assembly as shown in the illustration.

  14. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect each connector.
    2. Remove the 6 bolts.

    3. Pull the rear part of the console box assembly as shown in the illustration to disengage the 2 guides and remove the console box assembly.
