DTC B1507: Open in Turn Signal Circuit [10/2016 - 09/2020]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT LIGHTS 
    1. Inspect the illumination of each turn signal light.

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      Front turn signal light LH does not blink A
      Rear turn signal light LH does not blink B
      Front turn signal light RH does not blink C
      Rear turn signal light RH does not blink D

    Result: 

    B

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Disconnect the 4A instrument panel junction block assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the K4 combination meter assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      4A-6 - K4-13 (LL) Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      OK (w/ AFS (Adaptive Front-lighting System)) A
      OK (w/o AFS (Adaptive Front-lighting System)) B

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY LH - INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY OR BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the A33 headlight assembly LH connector.
    2. Disconnect the 4C instrument panel junction block assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A33-6 (B) - 4C-6 Always Below 1 Ω
      A33-3 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NO. 1 HEADLIGHT ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY LH - INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY OR BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the r1 no. 1 headlight ECU sub-assembly LH connector.
    2. Disconnect the 4C instrument panel junction block assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      r1-11 (TNS) - 4C-6 Always Below 1 Ω
      r1-12 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  5. INSPECT INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY

    (Instrument Panel Junction Block Assembly)    		 - -
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      4C-6 - 4A-6 Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2016 - 09/2020] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [04/2013 - ] 

  6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR COMBINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY OR BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the Q43 rear combination light assembly LH connector.
    2. Disconnect the K4 combination meter assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      Q43-4 (TRN) - K4-11 (TRNL) Always Below 1 Ω
      Q43-6 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2016 - 09/2020] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

  7. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Disconnect the 4A instrument panel junction block assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the K4 combination meter assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      4A-5 - K4-7 (LR) Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      OK (w/ AFS (Adaptive Front-lighting System)) A

    2. Disconnect the 4C instrument panel junction block assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A1-6 (B) - 4C-6 Always Below 1 Ω
      A1-3 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result:

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

  9. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NO. 1 HEADLIGHT ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY RH - INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY OR BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the q1 no. 1 headlight ECU sub-assembly RH connector.
    2. Disconnect the 4C instrument panel junction block assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      q1-11 (TNS) - 4C-8 Always Below 1 Ω
      q1-12 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG

  10. INSPECT INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY

    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2016 - 09/2020]

    REPLACE INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [04/2013 - ] 

  11. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR COMBINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY RH - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY OR BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the Q5 rear combination light assembly RH connector.
    2. Disconnect the K4 combination meter assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      Q5-4 (TRN) - K4-5 (TRNR) Always Below 1 Ω
      Q5-6 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2016 - 09/2020] 

    Result: 

    NG
