DTC B2251: Back Door Closer Switch Malfunction [09/2013 - ]: Procedure

1. Clear the DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [09/2013 - ]

NEXT: Go to next step 

1. Check for DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [09/2013 - ]

   OK

   DTC B2251 is not output.

NG → See step   3 

OK → See step   8 

1. Check the Data List for proper functioning of the luggage closer motor assembly. Refer to DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST [09/2013 - ] .

   On the screen, each item changes between ON and OFF as shown in above chart.

OK → See step   7 

1. Disconnect the U33 luggage closer motor connector.
2. Disconnect the a9 luggage compartment door lock connector.
3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   U33-7 (HAF) - a9- 6 (FSW)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   U33-21 (SWG) - a9- 7 (E)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   U33-7 (HAF) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher
   U33-21 (SWG) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher

NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

OK: Go to next step 

1. Temporarily replace the luggage compartment door lock with a new or normally functioning one. Refer to REMOVAL [09/2013 - ] .

NEXT: Go to next step 

1. Clear the DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [09/2013 - ] .
2. Recheck for DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [09/2013 - ] .
