- Check if a CAN communication DTC is output. Refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM [12/2011 - ]
.
- PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (SPEED METER OPERATION)
- Use the Active Test to check the operation of the speedometer. Refer to DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST [12/2011 - ]
.COMBINATION METER
Tester Display Test Part Control Range Diagnostic Note Speed Meter Operation Speedometer 0, 40, 80, 120, 160, 200, 240 (mph)*1 Acceptable range (mph): [Control range → Speedometer display] - 40 → 39.2 to 42.4
- 80 → 79.8 to 83.4
- 120 → 120.6 to 124.4
- 160 → 161.3 to 165.3
Confirm that the vehicle is stopped with the engine idling.0, 40, 80, 120, 160, 200, 240 (km/h)*2 Acceptable range (km/h): [Control range → Speedometer display] - 40 → 38.6 to 43.1
- 80 → 78.8 to 84.3
- 120 → 119.5 to 125.5
- 160 → 160.1 to 166.6
- 200 → 200.6 to 207.6
- 240 → 241.4 to 248.4
Confirm that the vehicle is stopped with the engine idling.- *1: for U.S.A.
- *2: for Canada
OK
Speedometer indication is normal.
