DTC C1942: Malfunction in Signal from Steering Sensor to Front Active Stabilizer Control ECU: Procedure

  1. CHECK DTC (ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED BRAKE SYSTEM AND VGRS SYSTEM) 
    1. Turn the power switch OFF.
    2. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    3. Turn the power switch ON (READY) and the Techstream on.
    4. Check that no electronically controlled brake system DTCs are output. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR , and that no VGRS system DTCs are output. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .
      RESULT

      Result Proceed to
      DTC is not output A
      Electronically controlled brake system DTC is output B
      VGRS system DTC is output C

    B → See step   3 

    C → See step   4 

    A → See step   2 

  2. REPLACE FRONT ACTIVE STABILIZER CONTROL ECU. Refer to  REMOVAL 
  3. GO TO ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED BRAKE SYSTEM (DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART). Refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART 
  4. GO TO VGRS SYSTEM (DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART). Refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART
