DTC C1914: DC / DC Converter Overload: Description

If the rear active stabilizer control ECU receives an overheat signal from the power steering converter, control is stopped to protect the power steering converter from overheating, and DTC C1914 is output. The power steering converter sends its condition information from terminal WDD1 to the power steering ECU, and from terminal WDD3 to the rear active stabilizer control ECU. The power steering converter supplies power to the front active stabilizer control actuator, rear active stabilizer control actuator and power steering system. As a result, extensive steering, such as rotating the steering wheel from lock to lock for dozens of times with the vehicle stationary, may be causing the power steering converter to overheat. If the temperature returns to normal, the system returns to normal operation.
