DTC C13A8/44: Tension Sensor Malfunction: Description
The tension sensor is built into the electric parking brake actuator. It detects the tension value of the parking brake cable and outputs the value to the electric parking brake ECU.

All of following conditions are met:
- Electric parking brake ECU is ON (engine switch is on (IG), or 15 sec. after engine switch is off and electric parking brake switch lock control is operating)
- Tension sensor output value is abnormal; difference between output values of 2 tension sensors is 0.287 kN or more; or tension sensor power supply voltage is abnormal
- Problem occurs for approx. 1 sec.
