REAR POWER SEAT MOTOR ASSEMBLY (for Ottoman): Removal: Removal

WARNING:

Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the parts may injure your hands.

HINT: 

  1. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 1
  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    WARNING:

    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    NOTE:
    • w/ Navigation System (for HDD):

      After the engine switch is turned off, the display and navigation module display (HDD navigation system) records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, be sure to wait for the time specified in the following table before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

      Waiting Time before Disconnecting Cable from Negative (-) Battery Terminal

      Condition Waiting Time
      Vehicle enrolled in safety connect system 6 minutes
      Vehicle not enrolled in safety connect system 1 minute
    • When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected. Refer to INITIALIZATION .
  3. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY LH  See step  2

  5. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION AIRBAG ASSEMBLY RH  See step  4
  6. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY LH  See step  6
  7. REMOVE REAR SEAT CONSOLE BOX (w/ Rear Console Box)  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 1
  8. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY RH  See step  8
  9. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SEAT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY 
    1. w/ Center Seat:

      Remove the nut and anchor part of the rear seat outer belt assembly.

    2. Remove the 4 bolts, nut and seat adjuster.

      NOTE:

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

    3. Disconnect the air duct from the vehicle body.
  10. REMOVE REAR SEAT INNER BELT ANCHOR BRACKET ASSEMBLY LH  See step  16
  11. REMOVE SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL CONTROLLER LH  See step  17
  12. REMOVE SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL BLOWER LH  See step  19
  13. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 SEAT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY

    1. Remove the 4 bolts, nut and seat adjuster.
      NOTE:

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

    2. Disconnect the air duct from the vehicle body.

  17. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY RH

    1. Disconnect the connector.
    2. Remove the 4 nuts and seatback adjuster.
      NOTE:

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

  18. REMOVE REAR SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY LH  See step  4
  19. REMOVE REAR SEAT HEADREST SUPPORT LH  See step  5
  20. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 SEAT HEADREST ADJUSTER SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Detach the wire harness clamp and disconnect the 2 connectors.

    2. Remove the 2 bolts.
    3. Detach the 2 claws and remove the headrest adjuster.
  21. REMOVE REAR SEAT SHOULDER BELT GUIDE LH  See step  3
  22. REMOVE POSITION CONTROL ECU LH  See step  7
  23. REMOVE REAR SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL ECU LH  See step  8
  24. REMOVE REAR SEAT COVER CAP LH  See step  9
  25. REMOVE REAR SEAT LOCK BASE LH  See step  10
  26. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD LH  See step  11
  27. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK CLIMATE CONTROL BLOWER LH  See step  13
  28. REMOVE REAR SEAT WIRE LH

    1. Disconnect the connectors.
    2. Detach the wire harness clamps and remove the seat wire.

  31. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 SEAT HEADREST ADJUSTER SUB-ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

  32. REMOVE REAR SEAT SHOULDER BELT GUIDE RH  See step  24

  35. REMOVE REAR SEAT COVER CAP RH  See step  30
  36. REMOVE REAR SEAT LOCK BASE RH  See step  31
  37. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK CLIMATE CONTROL BLOWER RH  See step  32
  38. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD RH  See step  33
  39. REMOVE REAR SEAT WIRE RH  See step  35
  40. REMOVE SUB SEATBACK PLATE SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Detach the 2 claws and disconnect the 2 air hoses.

    2. Detach the 4 clamps and remove the upper part of the seatback plate.
    3. Detach the 2 hose clamps and disconnect the air hose.

    4. Detach the 4 clamps and remove the lower part of the seatback plate.
