LUMBAR SUPPORT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY (for Ottoman): Removal: Removal

WARNING:

Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the parts may injure your hands.

  1. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 1
  2. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY LH  See step  2
  3. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY RH  See step  3
  4. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    WARNING:

    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    NOTE:
    • w/ Navigation System (for HDD):

      After the engine switch is turned off, the display and navigation module display (HDD navigation system) records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, be sure to wait for the time specified in the following table before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

      Waiting Time before Disconnecting Cable from Negative (-) Battery Terminal

      Condition Waiting Time
      Vehicle enrolled in safety connect system 6 minutes
      Vehicle not enrolled in safety connect system 1 minute
    • When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected. Refer to INITIALIZATION .

  10. REMOVE REAR SEAT HEADREST SUPPORT LH  See step  5
  11. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 SEAT HEADREST ADJUSTER SUB-ASSEMBLY LH  See step  6
  12. REMOVE POSITION CONTROL ECU LH  See step  7
  13. REMOVE REAR SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL ECU LH  See step  8
  14. REMOVE REAR SEAT COVER CAP LH  See step  9
  15. REMOVE REAR SEAT LOCK BASE LH  See step  10
  16. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD LH 
    1. Remove the nut and detach the seatback cover bracket.

    2. Disconnect the connector.
    3. Detach the hooks and remove the hog rings and seatback cover with pad from the seatback spring.

  21. REMOVE POSITION CONTROL ECU RH  See step  28
  22. REMOVE REAR SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL ECU RH  See step  29
  23. REMOVE REAR SEAT COVER CAP RH  See step  30
  24. REMOVE REAR SEAT LOCK BASE RH  See step  31
  25. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK CLIMATE CONTROL BLOWER RH  See step  32
  26. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD RH 
    1. Remove the nut and detach the seatback cover bracket.

    2. Detach the rubber band of the seatback cover from the seatback spring.
    3. Disconnect the connector.
    4. Detach the hooks and remove the hog rings and seatback cover with pad from the seatback spring.
