DTC B2222, B2225: PBD Pulse Sensor Malfunction; Back Door Motor Clutch Malfunction: Procedure

  1. INSPECT FUSE (PTL) 
    1. Remove the PTL fuse from the luggage room junction block.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      PTL fuse Always Below 1 Ω

    NG → REPLACE FUSE 

    OK: Go to next step 

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (LUGGAGE CLOSER MOTOR - BATTERY) 
    1. Disconnect the S43 motor connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      S43-12 (B) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK → See step   3 

  3. REPLACE LUGGAGE CLOSER MOTOR ASSEMBLY. Refer to  COMPONENTS
