DTC C1653: Electric Parking Brake Failure: Procedure

1. Clear the DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .
2. Check for DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .

   No DTCs are output	A
   DTC C1653 is output	B

   HINT: 

   • The DTC is stored when a malfunction occurs in the electric parking brake system.
   • If troubleshooting and repair of the malfunction in the electric parking brake system has been completed, DTC C1653 will not be output again when rechecking for DTCs.
   • If DTC C1653 is stored frequently, duplicate the problem symptoms and perform the inspection again even if the DTC is not output when rechecking for DTCs. Refer to HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING .
