Rear Seat Heater does not Operate Through Front Switch: Procedure

  1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (SEAT HEATER SWITCH) 
    1. Use the Data List to check if the rear sunshade switch is functioning properly.
      CENTER CONSOLE SWITCH

      Tester Display Measurement Item/Range Normal Condition Diagnostic Note
      Rear Seat Heater Main Switch Rear seat heater main switch signal/ON or OFF ON: Rear seat heater main switch ON
      OFF: Rear seat heater main switch OFF
      -

      OK

      On screen, each item changes between ON and OFF according to above chart.

    NG → See step   2 

    OK → REPLACE COMBINATION SWITCH ASSEMBLY (NO. 1 CONSOLE SWITCH) 

  2. INSPECT INTEGRATION CONTROL & PANEL ASSEMBLY (NO. 2 CONSOLE SWITCH) 
    1. Disconnect the No. 2 console switch connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      6 - 8 Rear seat heater main switch is pushed Below 200 Ω
      6 - 8 Rear seat heater main switch is not pushed 10 kΩ or higher

    NG → See step   3 

    OK → REPLACE COMBINATION SWITCH ASSEMBLY (NO. 1 CONSOLE SWITCH) 

  3. REPLACE INTEGRATION CONTROL & PANEL ASSEMBLY (NO. 2 CONSOLE SWITCH). Refer to  REMOVAL
