Television Display does not Turn ON: Procedure

  1. CLEAN INFRARED RAY EMITTING/RECEIVING PORTION 
    1. Clean the infrared ray emitting/receiving portion on the television display assembly.

      *A for Roof
      *B for Console Box
    2. Check whether the same malfunction occurs.

      OK

      The function returns to normal.

    NG → See step   2 

    OK → END 

  2. CHECK SYSTEM 
    1. Check that the remote controller operation of the rear system is not locked by the display and navigation module display.
      1. Check that the item that locks the rear seat entertainment system is Off on the display and navigation module display screen.

        OK

        The item that locks the rear seat entertainment system is Off.

    NG → RELEASE LOCK 

    OK: Go to next step 

  3. CHECK REMOTE CONTROLLER BATTERY 
    1. Check that the dry-cell battery of the remote controller is not depleted.

      OK

      It is not depleted.

    NG → REPLACE REMOTE CONTROLLER BATTERY 

    OK: Go to next step 

  4. REPLACE REMOTE CONTROL 
    1. Replace the remote controller with a new or normally functioning one.
    2. Check that the television display assembly turns on.

      OK

      The television display assembly turns on.

      RESULT

      Result Proceed to
      OK A
      NG (for Roof) B
      NG (for Console Box) C

    B → See step   5 

    C → See step   6 

    A → END (REMOTE CONTROLLER WAS DEFECTIVE) 

  5. REPLACE TELEVISION DISPLAY ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL 
  6. REPLACE TELEVISION DISPLAY ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL
