DTC B1595: No Response from Rear Seat Entertainment System; DTC B15D5: Rear Seat Entertainment System Disconnected: Procedure

  1. CHECK OPTIONAL COMPONENTS (INCLUDING ASSOCIATED WIRING) 
    1. Check that optional components (including associated wiring) which generate radio waves are not installed.
      RESULT

      Result Proceed to

      Optional components (including associated wiring) are not installed. B

      HINT: 

      • Electrical noise from radio waves generated by optional components or the wiring for those components may affect MOST communication.
      • This DTC may be stored when a MOST communication error occurs due to electrical noise.

    A: Go to next step 

  2. REMOVE OPTIONAL COMPONENTS (INCLUDING ASSOCIATED WIRING) 
    1. Remove optional components (including associated wiring).
      NOTE:

      Do not remove optional components or associated wiring without the permission of the customer.

    NEXT: Go to next step 

  3. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Clear the DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .
    2. Check for DTCs and check if the same trouble occurs again.

      OK

      No DTCs are output.

    NG → See step   4 

    OK → END 

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TELEVISION DISPLAY - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the R59*1, R62*2 television display assembly connector.

      • *1: for 4-Passenger with Ottoman
      • *2: except 4-Passenger with Ottoman
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      for 4-Passenger with Ottoman 

      except 4-Passenger with Ottoman 

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      R59-10 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      R59-11 (GND2) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      R62-10 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      R62-11 (GND2) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      for 4-Passenger with Ottoman 

      except 4-Passenger with Ottoman

      R59-28 (+B) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V
      R59-14 (+B2) - Body ground Engine switch on (ACC) 11 to 14 V

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TELEVISION DISPLAY - STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER) 
    1. Disconnect the R59*1, R62*2 television display assembly connector.
      • *1: for 4-Passenger with Ottoman
      • *2: except 4-Passenger with Ottoman
    2. Disconnect the R60 stereo component amplifier connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      for 4-Passenger with Ottoman 

      except 4-Passenger with Ottoman 

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      R59-1 (MI+) - R60-6 (MO+) Always Below 1 Ω
      R59-2 (MI-) - R60-12 (MO-) Always Below 1 Ω
      R59-3 (SLDI) - R60-11 (SLDO) Always Below 1 Ω
      R59-1 (MI+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      R59-2 (MI-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TELEVISION DISPLAY - DISPLAY AND NAVIGATION MODULE DISPLAY) 
    1. Disconnect the R59*1, R62*2 television display assembly connector.
      • *1: for 4-Passenger with Ottoman
      • *2: except 4-Passenger with Ottoman
    2. Disconnect the L115 display and navigation module display connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      for 4-Passenger with Ottoman 

      except 4-Passenger with Ottoman

      R59-6 (MO+) - L115-1 (MI+) Always Below 1 Ω
      R59-5 (MO-) - L115-5 (MI-) Always Below 1 Ω

  7. REPLACE TELEVISION DISPLAY ASSEMBLY 
    1. for 4-Passenger with Ottoman

      Temporarily replace the television display assembly with a new or normally functioning one. Refer to REMOVAL .

      except 4-Passenger with Ottoman

      Temporarily replace the television display assembly with a new or normally functioning one. Refer to REMOVAL .

    2. Clear the DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .
    3. Recheck for DTCs and check if the same trouble occurs again.

      OK

      No DTCs are output.

    NG → See step   13 

    OK → END 

  8. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR SEAT CONSOLE BOX - TELEVISION DISPLAY) 
    1. Disconnect the R16 rear seat console box assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the R59 television display assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      R16-7 (MI+) - R59-6 (MO+) Always Below 1 Ω
      R16-8 (MI-) - R59-5 (MO-) Always Below 1 Ω
      R16-9 (SLD1) - R59-4 (SLDO) Always Below 1 Ω
      R16-7 (MI+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      R16-8 (MI-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      R16-9 (SLD1) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: Go to next step 

  9. INSPECT REAR SEAT CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the rear seat console box assembly. Refer to REMOVAL .

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      R16-7 (MI+) - D-1 (MI+) Always Below 1 Ω
      R16-8 (MI-) - D-2 (MI-) Always Below 1 Ω
      R16-9 (SLD1) - D-3 (SLD1) Always Below 1 Ω
      R16-7 (MI+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      R16-8 (MI-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      R16-9 (SLD1) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    NG → See step   14 

    OK: Go to next step 

  10. REPLACE DISC PLAYER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Temporarily the disc player assembly with new or normal functioning one. Refer to REMOVAL .
    2. Clear the DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .
    3. Recheck for DTCs and check if the same trouble occurs again.

      OK

      No DTCs are output.

    NG → See step   13 

    OK → END 

  11. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TELEVISION DISPLAY - DISC PLAYER) 
    1. Disconnect the R62 television display assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the R64 disc player assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      R62-6 (MO+) - R64-1 (MI+) Always Below 1 Ω
      R62-5 (MO-) - R64-2 (MI-) Always Below 1 Ω
      R62-4 (SLDO) - R64-3 (SLD1) Always Below 1 Ω
      R62-6 (MO+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      R62-5 (MO-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      R62-42 (SLDO) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: Go to next step 

  12. REPLACE DISC PLAYER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Temporarily the disc player assembly with new or normal functioning one. Refer to REMOVAL .
    2. Clear the DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .
    3. Recheck for DTCs and check if the same trouble occurs again.

      OK

      No DTCs are output.

    NG → See step   13 

    OK → END 

  13. REPLACE DISPLAY AND NAVIGATION MODULE DISPLAY. Refer to  REMOVAL 
  14. REPLACE REAR SEAT CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL
