DTC B1593: No Response from Stereo Component Amplifier; DTC B15D3: Stereo Component Amplifier Disconnected: Procedure

  1. CHECK OPTIONAL COMPONENTS (INCLUDING ASSOCIATED WIRING) 
    1. Check that optional components (including associated wiring) which generate radio waves are not installed.
      RESULT

      Result Proceed to
      Optional components (including associated wiring) are installed. A
      Optional components (including associated wiring) are not installed. B

      HINT: 

      • Electrical noise from radio waves generated by optional components or the wiring for those components may affect MOST communication.
      • This DTC may be stored when a MOST communication error occurs due to electrical noise.

    B → See step   3 

    A: Go to next step 

  2. REMOVE OPTIONAL COMPONENTS (INCLUDING ASSOCIATED WIRING) 
    1. Remove optional components (including associated wiring).
      NOTE:

      Do not remove optional components or associated wiring without the permission of the customer.

    NEXT: Go to next step 

  3. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Clear the DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .
    2. Check for DTCs and check if the same trouble occurs again.

      OK

      No DTCs are output.

    NG → See step   4 

    OK → END 

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the R38 stereo component amplifier assembly connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      R38-2 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      R38-6 (GND2) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      R38-1 (+B) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V
      R38-3 (+B2) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: Go to next step 

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER - RADIO RECEIVER) 
    1. Disconnect the R60 stereo component amplifier assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the L113 radio receiver assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      R60-4 (MI+) - L113-11 (MO+) Always Below 1 Ω
      R60-10 (MI-) - L113-25 (MO-) Always Below 1 Ω
      R60-5 (SLDI) - L113-24 (SLDI) Always Below 1 Ω
      R60-4 (MI+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      R60-10 (MI-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      R60-5 (SLDI) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      RESULT

      Result Proceed to
      OK (w/o Rear Seat Entertainment System) A
      OK (w/ Rear Seat Entertainment System) B
      NG C

    B → See step   8 

    C → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    A: Go to next step 

  6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (DISPLAY AND NAVIGATION MODULE DISPLAY - STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER) 
    1. Disconnect the L115 display and navigation module display connector.
    2. Disconnect the R60 stereo component amplifier assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      L115-1 (MI+) - R60-6 (MO+) Always Below 1 Ω
      L115-5 (MI-) - R60-12 (MO-) Always Below 1 Ω
      L115-2 (SLDI) - R60-11 (SLDO) Always Below 1 Ω
      L115-1 (MI+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      L115-5 (MI-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      L115-2 (SLDI) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: Go to next step 

  7. REPLACE STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER 
    1. Temporarily replace the stereo component amplifier assembly with a new or normally functioning. Refer to REMOVAL .
    2. Clear the DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .
    3. Recheck for DTCs and check if the same trouble occurs again.

      OK

      No DTCs are output.

    NG → See step   10 

    OK → END 

  8. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER - TELEVISION DISPLAY) 
    1. Disconnect the R60 stereo component amplifier assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the R59*1, R62*2 television display assembly connector.
      • *1: for 4-Passenger with Ottoman
      • *2: except 4-Passenger with Ottoman
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      for 4-Passenger with Ottoman 

      except 4-Passenger with Ottoman 

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      R60-6 (MO+) - R59-1 (MI+) Always Below 1 Ω
      R60-12 (MO-) - R59-2 (MI-) Always Below 1 Ω
      R60-11 (SLDO) - R59-3 (SLDI) Always Below 1 Ω
      R60-6 (MO+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      R60-12 (MO-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      R60-11 (SLDO) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      R60-6 (MO+) - R62-1 (MI+) Always Below 1 Ω
      R60-12 (MO-) - R62-2 (MI-) Always Below 1 Ω
      R60-11 (SLDO) - R62-3 (SLDI) Always Below 1 Ω

      R60-12 (MO-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: Go to next step 

  9. REPLACE STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER 
    1. Temporarily replace the stereo component amplifier assembly with a new or normally functioning. Refer to REMOVAL .
    2. Clear the DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .
    3. Recheck for DTCs and check if the same trouble occurs again.

      OK

      No DTCs are output.

    NG → See step   10 

    OK → END 

  10. REPLACE DISPLAY AND NAVIGATION MODULE DISPLAY. Refer to  REMOVAL
