DTC B1592: No Response from DVD Player; DTC B15D2: DVD Player Disconnected: Procedure

  1. CHECK OPTIONAL COMPONENTS (INCLUDING ASSOCIATED WIRING) 
    1. Check that optional components (including associated wiring) which generate radio waves are not installed.
      RESULT

      Result Proceed to
      Optional components (including associated wiring) are installed. A
      Optional components (including associated wiring) are not installed. B

      HINT: 

      • Electrical noise from radio waves generated by optional components or the wiring for those components may affect MOST communication.
      • This DTC may be stored when a MOST communication error occurs due to electrical noise.

    B → See step   3 

    A: Go to next step 

  2. REMOVE OPTIONAL COMPONENTS (INCLUDING ASSOCIATED WIRING) 
    1. Remove optional components (including associated wiring).
      NOTE:

      Do not remove optional components or associated wiring without the permission of the customer.

    NEXT: Go to next step 

  3. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Clear the DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .
    2. Check for DTCs and check if the same trouble occurs again.

      OK

      No DTCs are output.

    NG → See step   4 

    OK → END 

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (DISC PLAYER - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the D*1 or R64*2 disc player assembly connector.
      • *1: for 4-Passenger with Ottoman
      • *2: except 4-Passenger with Ottoman

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      for 4-Passenger with Ottoman 

      except 4-Passenger with Ottoman 

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      D-13 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      R64-13 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      for 4-Passenger with Ottoman 

      except 4-Passenger with Ottoman

      D-8 (+B) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (DISC PLAYER - DISPLAY AND NAVIGATION MODULE DISPLAY) 
    1. for 4-Passenger with Ottoman:
      1. Disconnect the D disc player assembly connector.
      2. Disconnect the L115 display and navigation module display connector.
      3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance

        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        D-6 (MO+) - L115-1 (MI+) Always Below 1 Ω
        D-5 (MO-) - L115-5 (MI-) Always Below 1 Ω
        D-4 (SLD2) - L115-2 (SLDI) Always Below 1 Ω
        D-6 (MO+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
        D-5 (MO-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
        D-4 (SLD2) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
    2. except 4-Passenger with Ottoman:
      1. Disconnect the R64 disc player assembly connector.
      2. Disconnect the L115 display and navigation module display connector.
      3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance

        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        R64-6 (MO+) - L115-1 (MI+) Always Below 1 Ω
        R64-5 (MO-) - L115-5 (MI-) Always Below 1 Ω
        R64-4 (SLD2) - L115-2 (SLDI) Always Below 1 Ω
        R64-6 (MO+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
        R64-5 (MO-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
        R64-4 (SLD2) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (DISC PLAYER - TELEVISION DISPLAY) 
    • *1: except 4-Passenger with Ottoman
    • *2: for 4-Passenger with Ottoman
    1. Disconnect the D*1 or R64*2 disc player assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the R62*1 or R59*2 television assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      except 4-Passenger with Ottoman 

      for 4-Passenger with Ottoman

      R64-1 (MI+) - R62-6 (MO+) Always Below 1 Ω
      R64-2 (MI-) - R62-5 (MO-) Always Below 1 Ω

  7. REPLACE DISC PLAYER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Temporarily replace the disc player assembly with a new or normally functioning.
      1. Refer to replacement of disc player (except 4-Passenger with Ottoman). Refer to REMOVAL
      2. Refer to replacement of disc player (for 4-Passenger with Ottoman). Refer to REMOVAL .
    2. Clear the DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .
    3. Recheck for DTCs and check if the same trouble occurs again.

      OK

      No DTCs are output.

    NG → See step   9 

    OK → END 

  8. INSPECT REAR SEAT CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the rear seat console box assembly. Refer to REMOVAL .

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      R16-14 (+B) - D-8 (+B) Always Below 1 Ω
      R16-12 (MO+) - D-6 (MO+) Always Below 1 Ω
      R16-11 (MO-) - D-5 (MO-) Always Below 1 Ω
      R16-10 (SLD2) - D-4 (SLD2) Always Below 1 Ω
      R16-7 (MI+) - D-1 (MI+) Always Below 1 Ω
      R16-8 (MI-) - D-2 (MI-) Always Below 1 Ω
      R16-9 (SLD1) - D-3 (SLD1) Always Below 1 Ω
      R16-21 (WUI) - D-9 (WUI) Always Below 1 Ω
      R16-25 (GND) - D-13 (GND) Always Below 1 Ω

    NG → See step   10

  9. REPLACE DISPLAY AND NAVIGATION MODULE DISPLAY. Refer to  REMOVAL
