DTC B15D0: MOST Communication Malfunction: Procedure

  1. CHECK MOST LINE 
    1. Enter the "System Check". Refer to OPERATION CHECK .

    2. Check the result on the "System Check Mode" screen.
      RESULT

      Result Proceed to
      "NCON" is displayed for "AMP". A
      "NCON" is displayed for "AUDIO". B
      "NCON" is displayed for "RSE".*1 C
      "NCON" is displayed for "DVD-P".*2 D
      "OK" is displayed for all items. E
      • *1: w/ Rear Seat Entertainment System
      • *2: w/ Disc Player Assembly

      HINT: 

      • When "NCON" is displayed for more than 1 item, proceed to the step for the device that has the smallest node position number.
      • The "System Check Mode" screen can be displayed only when DTC B15D0 is stored.

  2. CHECK MOST COMMUNICATION CONNECTOR 
    1. Check the MOST communication line connectors of the display and navigation module display and stereo component amplifier assembly. Refer to ELECTRONIC CIRCUIT INSPECTION PROCEDURE .
    2. Display the "System Check Mode" screen and check the result. Refer to OPERATION CHECK .
      RESULT

      Result Proceed to
      "NCON" is displayed for "AMP". A
      The screen cannot be changed to the "MOST Line Check" screen. B

      HINT: 

      When the malfunction in the MOST network is repaired, the screen cannot be changed to the "MOST Line Check" screen.

    B → END

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (WAKE UP SIGNAL) 
    1. Disconnect the R60 stereo component amplifier assembly connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      R60-3 (WUI) - Body ground Engine switch on (ACC) 4.5 V or higher

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO RECEIVER - STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER) 
    1. Disconnect the L113 radio receiver assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the R60 stereo component amplifier assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      L113-26 (WUO) - R60-3 (WUI) Always Below 1 Ω
      L113-26 (WUO) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK → See step   27 

  5. CHECK MOST COMMUNICATION CONNECTOR 
    1. Check the MOST communication line connectors of the display and navigation module display and radio receiver assembly. Refer to ELECTRONIC CIRCUIT INSPECTION PROCEDURE .
    2. Display the "System Check Mode" screen and check the result. Refer to OPERATION CHECK .
      RESULT

      Result Proceed to
      "NCON" is displayed for "AUDIO". A
      The screen cannot be changed to the "MOST Line Check" screen. B

      HINT: 

      When the malfunction in the MOST network is repaired, the screen cannot be changed to the "MOST Line Check" screen.

  6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (WAKE UP SIGNAL) 
    1. Disconnect the L113 radio receiver assembly connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

  7. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (DISPLAY AND NAVIGATION MODULE DISPLAY - RADIO RECEIVER) 
    1. Disconnect the L115 display and navigation module display connector.
    2. Disconnect the L113 radio receiver assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      L115-8 (WUO) - L113-12 (WUI) Always Below 1 Ω
      L115-8 (WUO) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

  8. CHECK MOST COMMUNICATION CONNECTOR 
    1. Check the MOST communication line connectors of the stereo component amplifier assembly and television display assembly. Refer to ELECTRONIC CIRCUIT INSPECTION PROCEDURE .
    2. Display the "System Check Mode" screen and check the result. Refer to OPERATION CHECK .
      RESULT

      Result Proceed to
      "NCON" is displayed for "RSE". A
      The screen cannot be changed to the "MOST Line Check" screen. B

      HINT: 

      When the malfunction in the MOST network is repaired, the screen cannot be changed to the "MOST Line Check" screen.

  9. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (WAKE UP SIGNAL) 
    1. Disconnect the R59*1 or R62*2 television display assembly connector.

      • *1: for 4-Passenger with Ottoman
      • *2: except 4-Passenger with Ottoman
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

  11. CHECK MOST COMMUNICATION CONNECTOR 
    1. Check the MOST communication line connectors of the disc player assembly and television display assembly. Refer to ELECTRONIC CIRCUIT INSPECTION PROCEDURE .
    2. Display the "System Check Mode" screen and check the result. Refer to OPERATION CHECK .
      RESULT

      Result Proceed to
      "NCON" is displayed for "DVD-P". A
      The screen cannot be changed to the "MOST Line Check" screen. B

      HINT: 

      When the malfunction in the MOST network is repaired, the screen cannot be changed to the "MOST Line Check" screen.

  12. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (WAKE UP SIGNAL) 
    1. Disconnect the D*1 or R64*2 disc player assembly connector.

  13. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR SEAT CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY - TELEVISION DISPLAY AND DISC PLAYER) 
    1. Disconnect the R16 rear seat console box assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the R59 television display assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      R16-21 (WUI) - R59-8 (WUO) Always Below 1 Ω
      R16-21 (WUI) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: Go to next step 

  14. INSPECT REAR SEAT CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the rear seat console box assembly. Refer to REMOVAL .

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      R16-21 (WUI) - D-9 (WUI) Always Below 1 Ω
      R16-21 (WUI) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  15. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TELEVISION DISPLAY - DISC PLAYER) 
    1. Disconnect the R62 television display assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the R64 disc player assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      R62-8 (WUO) - R64-9 (WUI) Always Below 1 Ω
      R62-8 (WUO) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  16. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO RECEIVER - STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER) 
    1. Disconnect the L113 radio receiver assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the R60 stereo component amplifier assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      L113-11 (MO+) - R60-4 (MI+) Always Below 1 Ω

  17. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (DISPLAY AND NAVIGATION MODULE DISPLAY - RADIO RECEIVER) 
    1. Disconnect the L115 display and navigation module display connector.
    2. Disconnect the L113 radio receiver assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      L115-3 (MO+) - L113-9 (MI+) Always Below 1 Ω

    1. Disconnect the R16 rear seat console box assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the R59 television display assembly connector.
    3. Disconnect the L115 display and navigation module display connector.
    4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

  21. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Clear the DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .
    2. Check for DTCs and check if the same trouble occurs again.

      OK

      No DTCs are output.

  22. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (DISC PLAYER - TELEVISION DISPLAY AND DISPLAY AND NAVIGATION MODULE DISPLAY) 
    1. Disconnect the R64 disc player assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the R62 television display assembly connector.
    3. Disconnect the L115 display and navigation module display connector.
    4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      R62-6 (MO+) - R64-1 (MI+) Always Below 1 Ω
      R62-5 (MO-) - R64-2 (MI-) Always Below 1 Ω
      R62-4 (SLDO) - R64-3 (SLD1) Always Below 1 Ω
      R64-6 (MO+) - L115-1 (MI+) Always Below 1 Ω
      R64-5 (MO-) - L115-5 (MI-) Always Below 1 Ω
      R64-4 (SLD2) - L115-2 (SLDI) Always Below 1 Ω
      R62-6 (MO+)- Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      R62-5 (MO-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  23. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Clear the DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .
    2. Check for DTCs and check if the same trouble occurs again.

      OK

      No DTCs are output.

  24. CHECK HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER - DISPLAY AND NAVIGATION MODULE DISPLAY) 
    1. Disconnect the R60 stereo component amplifier assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the L115 display and navigation module display connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      R60-6 (MO+) - L115-1 (MI+) Always Below 1 Ω
      R60-12 (MO-) - L115-5 (MI-) Always Below 1 Ω
      R60-11 (SLDO) - L115-2 (SLDI) Always Below 1 Ω
      R60-6 (MO+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      R60-12 (MO-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      R60-11 (SLDO) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: Go to next step 

  25. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Clear the DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .
    2. Check for DTCs and check if the same trouble occurs again.

      OK

      No DTCs are output.

  26. REPLACE STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL 
  27. REPLACE RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL 
  28. REPLACE TELEVISION DISPLAY ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL 
  29. REPLACE DISPLAY AND NAVIGATION MODULE DISPLAY. Refer to  REMOVAL 
  30. USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK. Refer to  ELECTRONIC CIRCUIT INSPECTION PROCEDURE 
  31. REPLACE REAR SEAT CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL 
  32. REPLACE DISC PLAYER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL 
  33. REPLACE DISC PLAYER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL 
  34. REPLACE TELEVISION DISPLAY ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL
