Entire Combination Meter does not Operate: Procedure

  1. INSPECT FUSE (D MPX-B2, P-J/B) 
    1. Remove the D MPX-B2 fuse from the main body ECU.
    2. Remove the P-J/B fuse from the engine room No. 2 relay block.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      D MPX-B2 fuse Always Below 1 Ω
      P-J/B fuse

    NG → REPLACE FUSE 

    OK: Go to next step 

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NO. 1 METER ECU - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the L10 ECU connector.

    2. Measure the resistance and voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance

      Standard voltage 

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      L10-17 (E2) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      L10-18 (ES) - Body ground
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      L10-14 (IG2) - Body ground Engine switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V
      L10-13 (B) - Body ground Always

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK → See step   3 

  3. REPLACE NO. 1 METER ECU. Refer to  DISASSEMBLY
