DTC B1569: DVD-ROM Deck Disconnected: Procedure

  1. CHECK OPTIONAL COMPONENTS (INCLUDING ASSOCIATED WIRING) 
    1. Check for optional components.
      1. Check that optional components (including associated wiring) which generate radio waves are not installed.

        HINT: 

        • Electrical noise from radio waves generated by optional components or the wiring for those components may affect IEEE communication.
        • This DTC may be stored when an IEEE communication error occurs due to electrical noise.

    B → See step   3 

    A: Go to next step 

  2. REMOVE OPTIONAL COMPONENTS (INCLUDING ASSOCIATED WIRING) 
    1. Remove optional components (including associated wiring).
      NOTE:

      Do not remove optional components or associated wiring without the permission of the customer.

    NEXT: Go to next step 

  3. CHECK DTC 
    1. Clear the DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .
    2. Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again.

      OK

      No DTCs are output.

    NG → See step   4 

    OK → END 

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NAVIGATION MODULE BOARD POWER SOURCE) 
    1. Disconnect the navigation module board connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      z9-5 (GND1) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      z9-1 (+B) - z9-5 (GND1) Always 11 to 14 V
      z9-3 (ACC1) - z9-5 (GND1) Engine switch on (ACC) 11 to 14 V

    NG → See step   8 

    OK: Go to next step 

  5. CHECK IEEE CABLE CONNECTOR 
    1. Check the IEEE cable connectors.
      1. Check if the IEEE cable connectors between the navigation module board and the display and navigation module display have any connection problems. Refer to ELECTRONIC CIRCUIT INSPECTION PROCEDURE .
    2. Check that the screen display is normal.

      OK

      Screen display is normal.

    NG → See step   6 

    OK → END 

  6. REPLACE IEEE CABLE 
    1. Replace the IEEE cable between the navigation module board and the display and navigation module display.
    2. Check that the screen display is normal.

      OK

      Screen display is normal.

    NG → See step   7 

    OK → END 

  7. REPLACE NAVIGATION MODULE BOARD 
    1. Replace the navigation module board. Refer to REMOVAL .
    2. Clear the DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .
    3. Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again.

      OK

      No DTCs are output.

    NG → See step   9 

    OK → END 

  8. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 
    1. Disconnect the display and navigation module display connector.
    2. Disconnect the navigation module board connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      z11-1 (+B2) - z9-1 (+B) Always Below 1 Ω
      z11-2 (ACC) - z9-3 (ACC1) Always Below 1 Ω
      z11-4 (G) - z9-5 (GND1) Always Below 1 Ω
      z11-1 (+B2) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      z11-2 (ACC) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      z11-4 (G) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK → See step   9 

  9. REPLACE DISPLAY AND NAVIGATION MODULE DISPLAY. Refer to  REMOVAL
