DTC B1563: Remote Touch Disconnected; DTC B1596: No Response from Remote Touch: Procedure

1. Check for optional components.
   1. Check that optional components (including associated wiring) which generate radio waves are not installed.

      HINT: 

      • Electrical noise from radio waves generated by optional components or the wiring for those components may affect MOST communication.
      • This DTC may be stored when a MOST communication error occurs due to electrical noise.

A: Go to next step 

1. Remove optional components (including associated wiring).
   NOTE:

   Do not remove optional components or associated wiring without the permission of the customer.

NEXT: Go to next step 

1. Clear the DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .
2. Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again.

   OK

   No DTCs are output.

NG → See step   4 

OK → END 

1. Disconnect the remote touch connector.

2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   G13-1 (GND) - Body ground	Always	Below 1 Ω

3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Voltage

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   G13-8 (+B) - G13-1 (GND)	Always	11 to 14 V
   G13-7 (ACC) - G13-1 (GND)	Engine switch on (ACC)	11 to 14 V

1. Disconnect the display and navigation module display connector.

2. Disconnect the remote touch connector.

3. Disconnect the radio receiver assembly connector.

4. Measure the resistance between the display and navigation module display and remote touch according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   G6-7 (MO-) - G14-5 (MI-)	Always	Below 1 Ω

   G6-3 (MO+) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher
   G6-7 (MO-) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher
   G6-6 (SLDO) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher

5. Measure the resistance between the remote touch and radio receiver assembly according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   G14-1 (MO+) - G12-9 (MI+)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   G14-2 (MO-) - G12-23 (MI-)	Always	Below 1 Ω

   G14-1 (MO+) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher
   G14-2 (MO-) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher

OK: Go to next step 

1. Replace the remote touch. Refer to DISASSEMBLY - Step 5 .
2. Clear the DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .
3. Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again.

   OK

   No DTCs are output.
