Only Rear Switch Cannot Operate Rear Sunshade: Procedure
- CHECK FOR DTC (CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM)
- Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR to check and clear the DTCs.
RESULTResult Proceed to DTC is not output A DTC U0210 is output B B → Go to step 7
A: Go to next step
- CHECK VEHICLE EQUIPMENT
- Check if the vehicle is equipped with the Ottoman.RESULT
Result Proceed to except 4-Passenger with Ottoman A for 4-Passenger with Ottoman B
B → Go to step 6
A: Go to next step
- Check if the vehicle is equipped with the Ottoman.
- READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (REAR CONSOLE SWITCH)
- Refer to DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST
and use the Data List to check if the rear sunshade switch is functioning properly.REAR CONSOLE SWITCH

OFF: Rear sunshade switch not pressed- OK
Rear sunshade raises or lowers.
NG → Go to step 4

and use the Data List to check if the rear sunshade switch is functioning properly.
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CURTAIN SWITCH - REAR POWER SEAT SWITCH)

- Disconnect the z57 curtain switch connector.
- Disconnect the z56 power seat switch connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition z57-8 (SW1) - z56-20 (SW1) Always Below 1 Ω z57-15 (GND) - z56-5 (GND) Always Below 1 Ω z57-8 (SW1) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher z57-15 (GND) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: Go to next step
- REPLACE CURTAIN SWITCH ASSEMBLY (REAR SUNSHADE SWITCH)
- Temporarily replace the curtain switch assembly with a new or normally functioning one.
HINT:
- Refer to DISASSEMBLY for Power Seat.
- Refer to DISASSEMBLY for Ottoman.
- Refer to DISASSEMBLY for Fixed Seat Type.
- Check that the rear sunshade can be raised and lowered by using the curtain switch assembly.

- USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK. Refer to ELECTRONIC CIRCUIT INSPECTION PROCEDURE
- REPLACE REAR POWER SEAT SWITCH. Refer to DISASSEMBLY
- REPLACE REAR POWER SEAT SWITCH. Refer to DISASSEMBLY
- USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK. Refer to ELECTRONIC CIRCUIT INSPECTION PROCEDURE
- REPLACE REAR POWER SEAT SWITCH. Refer to DISASSEMBLY
