Only Front Switch Cannot Operate Rear Sunshade: Procedure

  1. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR to check and clear the DTCs.
    RESULT

    Result Proceed to
    No DTC is output A
    DTC U1114 is output B
    DTC U1127 is output C

    B → Go to step   4 

    C → Go to step   5 

    A: Go to next step 

  2. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (CENTER CONSOLE SWITCH) 
    1. Refer to DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST and use the Data List to check if the rear sunshade switch is functioning properly.
      CENTER CONSOLE SWITCH

      Tester Display Measurement Item/Range Normal Condition Diagnostic Note
      Rear Shade Switch Rear sunshade switch / ON or OFF ON: Rear sunshade switch pressed
      OFF: Rear sunshade switch not pressed
      -

      OK

      Rear sunshade raises or lowers.

    NG → Go to step   3 

    OK → REPLACE COMBINATION SWITCH ASSEMBLY 

  3. INSPECT INTEGRATION CONTROL AND PANEL ASSEMBLY (NO. 2 CONSOLE SWITCH)

    1. Disconnect the No. 2 console switch connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      FOR 5-PASSENGER WITH OTTOMAN:

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      z75-10 - z75-14 Rear sunshade switch is pushed Below 200 Ω
      z75-10 - z75-14 Rear sunshade switch is not pushed 10 kΩ or higher
      EXCEPT 5-PASSENGER WITH OTTOMAN:

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      z5-8 - z5-12 Rear sunshade switch is pushed Below 200 Ω
      z5-8 - z5-12 Rear sunshade switch is not pushed 10 kΩ or higher

    NG → Go to step   6 

    OK → REPLACE COMBINATION SWITCH ASSEMBLY 

  4. GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM. Refer to  DTC U1114: Lost Communication with Main Switch Module 
  5. GO TO LIN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM. Refer to  DTC U1127: Lost Communication with Center Console Switch ECU 
  6. REPLACE INTEGRATION CONTROL AND PANEL ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL
