Front and Rear Switch Cannot Operate Rear Sunshade: Procedure
- CHECK FOR DTC
- Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR to check and clear the DTCs.
RESULTResult Proceed to No DTC is output A DTC U0141, U0210, U1114 is output B DTC U1127 is output C B → Go to step 9
C → Go to step 10
A: Go to next step
- PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (BODY NO. 4)
- Select the Active Test, use the Techstream to generate a control command, and then check that the shade raises/lowers. Refer to DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST

and use the Data List to check if the rear sunshade limit switch is functioning properly.
- INSPECT FUSE (RR S/SHADE)
- Remove the RR S/SHADE fuse from luggage room junction block.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition RR S/SHADE fuse Always Below 1 Ω
NG → REPLACE FUSE
OK: Go to next step
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (LUGGAGE ROOM JUNCTION BLOCK - BODY GROUND)
- Disconnect the LG junction block connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition LG-1 - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: Go to next step
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR WINDOW SHADE - REAR JUNCTION BLOCK ECU AND BODY GROUND)
- Disconnect the S25 shade connector.
- Disconnect the S61 ECU connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance

NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: Go to next step
- INSPECT REAR WINDOW SHADE ASSEMBLY
- Refer to REMOVAL and remove the rear window shade assembly.
- Apply battery voltage and check the operation of the window shade motor.STANDARD

- Disconnect the S61 ECU connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition S25-3 (RSL) - S61-22 (LMT) Always Below 1 Ω S25-3 (RSL) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK → Go to step 11
- GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM. Refer to DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART
- GO TO LIN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM. Refer to DTC U1127: Lost Communication with Center Console Switch ECU
- REPLACE REAR WINDOW SHADE ASSEMBLY. Refer to REMOVAL
