4GR-FSE ENGINE MECHANICAL: REAR CRANKSHAFT OIL SEAL: REMOVAL

1. REMOVE MANUAL TRANSMISSION ASSEMBLY (for Manual Transmission)

3. REMOVE FLYWHEEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Manual Transmission) Removal

4. REMOVE DRIVE PLATE AND RING GEAR SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Automatic Transmission) Removal

5. REMOVE ENGINE REAR OIL SEAL

(a) Using a knife, cut through the oil seal lip.





(b) Using a screwdriver with its tip taped, pry out the oil seal.

HINT
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

NOTICE:
After the removal, check the crankshaft for damage. If it is damaged, smooth the surface with 400-grit sandpaper.
