Headlight (HI-BEAM) Circuit: Procedure
- PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (HIGH BEAM HEADLIGHT)
- Using the Techstream, perform the Active Test. Refer to DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST

Tester Display Test Part Control Range Diagnostic Note Daytime Running Light Daytime running light system ON/OFF - Head Light Hi High beam headlight relay ON/OFF - OK
Relay operates (high beam headlights illuminate).

- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BATTERY - RUNNING LIGHT RELAY)
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Voltage
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition Running light relay terminal 6 (+B) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION*a Front view of wire harness connector

NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: Go to next step
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RUNNING LIGHT RELAY - MAIN BODY ECU AND BODY GROUND)
- Disconnect the G47 main body ECU connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition Running light relay terminal 4 (H) - G47-15 (DIM) Always Below 1 Ω Running light relay terminal 2 (DRLS) - A-25 (DRL) Always Below 1 Ω Running light relay terminal 3 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω Running light relay terminal 4 (H) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher Running light relay terminal 2 (DRLS) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK → See step 4
- PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE. Refer to PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
- REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU). Refer to REMOVAL
