LIGHTING (EXT): HIGH INTENSITY DISCHARGE HEADLIGHT BULB: REMOVAL

HINT
* Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.
* The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

NOTICE:
* w/ Navigation System:
After the engine switch is turned off, the display and navigation module display (navigation system) records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, be sure to wait for the time specified in the following table before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

* When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.

2. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SEAL (for RH Side) Removal

3. REMOVE NO. 1 HEADLIGHT BACK COVER

(a) Turn the back cover in the direction indicated by the arrow and remove it.





4. REMOVE DISCHARGE HEADLIGHT BULB

(a) Turn the headlight control ECU socket in the direction indicated by the arrow and disconnect the headlight control ECU socket.





(b) Release the set spring lock as shown in the illustration and remove the bulb.





NOTICE:
Do not touch the glass part of the bulb.
