Reassembly





SEAT: REAR NO. 2 SEAT ASSEMBLY: REASSEMBLY

CAUTION:
Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the parts may injure your hands.

NOTICE:
* Under either of the following conditions, perform initialization (initial position memorization) of the fold seat control ECU Rear Power Seat Control System.
* The fold seat control ECU is replaced with a new one.
* Initialization (initial position reset) of the fold seat control ECU is performed.
* Under any of the following conditions, perform initialization (initial position reset and initial position memorization) of the fold seat control ECU Rear Power Seat Control System.
* The fold seat control ECU is exchanged with one from another vehicle.
* The seatback frame and seat leg are inspected.
* The seat is disassembled and the positions of the seatback and seat cushion change with respect to one another.
* The seatback frame or seat leg is replaced.
* The cable is disconnected from the battery while the seatback or seat cushion is operating.

HINT
* Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.
* The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

1. INSTALL REAR NO. 2 SEAT WIRE LH

(a) Attach the wire harness clamps to install the seat wire.

(b) Connect the 2 connectors.

(c) Attach the clip to install the seat cushion under carpet LH to the No. 3 seat leg.

(d) for RH Side:

Attach the clip to install the seat cushion under carpet RH to the No. 2 seat leg.

2. INSTALL NO. 3 SEATBACK FRAME SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Using a T45 "TORX" socket wrench, install the seatback frame with the 4 "TORX" bolts.

Torque : 42 Nm (428 kgf-cm, 31 ft-lbf)

3. INSTALL REAR SEAT LOCK CONTROL CABLE LH

(a) Twist the 2 cable ends in the direction indicated by the arrow to connect them.

(b) Attach the 2 clamps to install the cable.

4. INSTALL REAR SEAT LOCK CONTROL CABLE RH (for RH Side)

(a) Twist the 2 cable ends in the direction indicated by the arrow to connect them.

(b) Attach the 5 clamps to install the cable.

5. INSTALL REAR SEAT LOCK RELEASE STRAP ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Twist the cable end in the direction indicated by the arrow to connect it.

(b) Attach the 2 clamps to install the cable.

6. INSTALL REAR SEAT LOCK RELEASE STRAP ASSEMBLY RH (for RH Side)

(a) Twist the cable end in the direction indicated by the arrow to connect it.

(b) Attach the 5 clamps to install the cable.

7. INSTALL REAR NO. 2 SEAT OUTER RECLINING COVER LH

(a) Attach the 2 claws and guide to install the cover.

(b) Install the screw.

8. INSTALL REAR NO. 2 SEAT INNER RECLINING COVER LH

(a) Attach the 5 claws to install the cover.

9. INSTALL 3RD SEAT LINK SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Attach the 4 guides and 2 claws to install the seat leg link.

(b) Install the 3 clips.

10. INSTALL REAR SEAT LEG COVER LH

(a) Attach the 5 clips and 3 hooks, to install the cover.

(b) Install the clip.

11. INSTALL NO. 2 SEAT CUSHION FRAME SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Using a T40 "TORX" socket wrench, temporarily install the seat cushion frame with the 4 "TORX" bolts.

(b) Pull out the seat cushion frame.

(c) Using a T40 "TORX" socket wrench, tighten the 4 "TORX" bolts.

Torque : 25 Nm (255 kgf-cm, 18 ft-lbf)

(d) Connect the wire harness with the bolt.

Torque : 8.5 Nm (87 kgf-cm, 75 in-lbf)

12. INSTALL REAR NO. 3 SEAT OUTER RECLINING COVER LH

(a) Attach the 2 claws and guide to install the cover.

(b) Install the screw.

13. INSTALL REAR NO. 3 SEAT INNER RECLINING COVER LH

(a) Attach the 4 claws to install the cover.

14. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK EDGE PROTECTOR

(a) Attach the 4 claws to install the 2 protectors.

15. INSTALL REAR SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the headrest with the 3 nuts.

Torque : 14 Nm (143 kgf-cm, 10 ft-lbf)

16. INSTALL REAR SEAT HEADREST CABLE

(a) Twist the 2 cable ends in the direction indicated by the arrow to connect them.

(b) Attach the 2 clamps to install the cable.

17. INSTALL REAR SEAT HEADREST COVER

(a) Attach the 2 claws and guide, to install the cover.

(b) Install the 2 screws.

18. INSTALL NO. 2 SEATBACK COVER

(a) Attach the 2 claws to install the cover.

19. INSTALL REAR NO. 2 SEATBACK EDGE PROTECTOR

(a) Install the protector to the seatback pad with new tack pins.

20. INSTALL NO. 3 SEATBACK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Using hog ring pliers, install the seatback cover to the seatback pad with new hog rings.

NOTICE:
* Be careful not to damage the cover.
* When installing the hog rings, avoid wrinkling the cover.

21. INSTALL SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD

(a) Attach the 8 clips.

(b) Attach the hooks to install the seatback cover with pad.

(c) Using hog ring pliers, install a new hog ring.

NOTICE:
* Be careful not to damage the cover.
* When installing the hog rings, avoid wrinkling the cover.

22. INSTALL REAR SEAT NO. 1 COVER BEZEL

(a) Pass the strap through the bezel hole.

(b) Attach the guide to install the bezel.

(c) Install the 2 screws.

23. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK LOCK HOOK

(a) Install the lock hook.

24. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Attach the 7 clips to install the board.

25. INSTALL ROPE HOOK ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the rope hook with the bolt

Torque : 6.0 Nm (61 kgf-cm, 53 in-lbf)

(b) Attach the 2 claws to close the cover.





26. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION INNER HINGE COVER RH

(a) Attach the guide to install the cover.

(b) Install the clip and screw.

27. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION INNER HINGE COVER LH

(a) Attach the guide to install the cover.

(b) Install the clip and screw.

28. INSTALL REAR NO. 3 SEAT LEG COVER LH

(a) Attach the 2 claws to install the cover.

29. INSTALL REAR SEAT NO. 2 CUSHION MOULDING

(a) Attach the 2 claws to install the moulding.

(b) Install the 2 screws.

30. INSTALL FOLD SEAT CONTROL ECU

(a) Install the ECU with the 2 nuts.

Torque : 8.0 Nm (82 kgf-cm, 71 in-lbf)

(b) Connect the 2 connectors.

(c) Install the clip.

31. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION INNER EDGE PROTECTOR LH

(a) Install the protector to the seat cushion pad with new tack pins.

32. INSTALL NO. 3 SEAT CUSHION COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Using hog ring pliers, install the seat cushion cover to the seat cushion pad with new hog rings.

NOTICE:
* Be careful not to damage the cover.
* When installing the hog rings, avoid wrinkling the cover.

(b) Attach the fastener.

33. INSTALL SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD

(a) Attach the 2 hooks to install the seat cushion cover with pad.

(b) Install the 2 clips to close the under part of the seat cushion cover.

(c) Close the 2 fasteners.

(d) Install the 2 clips.

34. INSTALL REAR SEAT NO. 1 CUSHION MOULDING

(a) Attach the 4 guides and 2 claws to install the moulding.

(b) Install the 2 clips.

35. INSTALL REAR NO. 2 SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH Installation

36. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION LOWER HINGE COVER RH

(a) Attach the 2 claws to install the cover.

(b) Install the 2 screws.

37. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION LOWER HINGE COVER LH

(a) Attach the guide and 2 claws to install the cover.

(b) Install the 2 screws.

38. INSTALL CAP

(a) Install the 2 caps.
