REMOVAL (To 8/2009): Removal

  1. PRECAUTION (w/ Air Suspension) 
    WARNING:

    Be sure to read Precaution thoroughly before service. Refer to PRECAUTION .

  2. PRECAUTION (w/ Navigation System) 
    NOTE:

    After the engine switch is turned off, the display and navigation module display (HDD navigation system) records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, make sure to wait at least 60 seconds before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Refer to REMOVAL - Step 2 .

  3. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 1
  4. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 2
  5. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 3
  6. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER 
  7. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT  See step  7
  8. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 34
  9. REMOVE NO. 2 AIR CLEANER INLET  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 35
  10. REMOVE NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 36
  11. DISCONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 9
  12. REMOVE BATTERY  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 37
  13. REMOVE HOOD CUSHION CENTER  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 4
  14. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER ASSEMBLY  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 5
  15. REMOVE RADIATOR RESERVE TANK ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the radiator reserve tank hose from the radiator.

    2. Disconnect the 2 clamps and remove the bolt and radiator reserve tank from the radiator.

  16. DISCONNECT NO. 1 RADIATOR HOSE 
    1. Disconnect the No. 1 radiator hose from the radiator.

  17. DISCONNECT NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE 
    1. Disconnect the No. 2 radiator hose from the radiator.

  18. DISCONNECT INLET OIL COOLER HOSE 
    1. Disconnect the inlet oil cooler hose and clamp from the radiator.

  19. DISCONNECT OUTLET OIL COOLER HOSE 
    1. Remove the outlet oil cooler hose.

  20. REMOVE MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR (w/ Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System)  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 6
  21. REMOVE LOW PITCHED HORN ASSEMBLY  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 6
  22. REMOVE SMOG VENTILATION SENSOR  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 6
  23. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE COVER  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 24
  24. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 21
  25. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT 
    1. Disconnect the 3 clamps of the hood lock control cable and remove the 5 bolts and upper radiator support.

  26. REMOVE NO. 2 RADIATOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 2 radiator support cushions from the radiator.

      *1 Radiator support cushion
    2. Remove the 4 bolts, 4 brackets and radiator assembly.

      *1 Cooler bracket
      *2 Cooler compressor bracket
    3. Disconnect the 3 wire harness clamps and connector.

    4. Remove the radiator assembly and fan assembly with motor.

      NOTE:

      Do not apply any excessive force to the cooler condenser assembly or pipe when removing the radiator assembly.

    5. Remove the 2 lower radiator supports from the radiator.
    6. Remove the 2 bolts.

    7. Release the claw and pull up the fan assembly with motor from the radiator assembly to remove the fan assembly with motor.
