Visual Mute Signal Circuit between Navigation ECU and Multi-display (To 8/2009): Procedure
- INSPECT MULTI-DISPLAY ASSEMBLY
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition G2-11 (VMTI) - Body ground Engine switch on (ACC), screen display on → screen display changes. 3.5 V or higher → Below 1 V → 3.5 V or higher TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION*1 Front view of wire harness connector

- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
- PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE. Refer to PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
- Disconnect the multi-display assembly connector.
- Disconnect the display and navigation module display connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition G2-11 (VMTI) - G5-11 (VMTF) Always Below 1 Ω G2-11 (VMTI) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION*1 Front view of wire harness connector

NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: Go to next step
- REPLACE MULTI-DISPLAY ASSEMBLY
- Replace the multi-display assembly and check if it operates normally. Refer to REMOVAL
