- INSPECT LIGHT CONTROL RHEOSTAT
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition 3 (UP) - 5 (E) Display contrast up switch pressed Below 1 Ω 3 (UP) - 5 (E) Display contrast up switch not pressed 10 kΩ or higher 5 (E) - 7 (DOWN) Display contrast down switch pressed Below 1 Ω 5 (E) - 7 (DOWN) Display contrast down switch not pressed 10 kΩ or higher - Apply battery voltage from the wire harness back side between the terminals of the switch, and check the lighting condition of the light control rheostat.
OK
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition Battery positive (+) - 8 (ILL+)
Battery negative (-) - 6 (ILL-)Always Light control rheostat illuminates TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION*1 Component with harness connected
