Headlight Solenoid Circuit (To 08/2009): Procedure
- PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the engine switch on (IG).
- Turn the Techstream on.
- Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Active Test.
- Check that the headlights come on and that the headlights change from low beams to high beams.MAIN BODY
Tester Display Test Part Control Range Head Light Hi High beam headlights ON/OFF OK
Headlights come on and change from low beams to high beams.

- CHECK OPERATION (LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS)
- Check the operation of the low beam headlights.
OK
Low beam headlights operate normally.

OK: Go to next step
- Check the operation of the low beam headlights.
- INSPECT POWER DISTRIBUTOR (ENGINE ROOM JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY)
- Remove the power distributor (engine room junction block assembly) from the engine room relay block. Refer to COMPONENTS .
- Connect a positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 3A-1.
- Connect a negative (-) lead from the battery to terminal 3C-5.
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER DISTRIBUTOR - HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY)
- Disconnect the 3B power distributor (engine room junction block assembly) connector.
- Disconnect the A18 or A26 headlight assembly connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table.
Standard Resistance

- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER DISTRIBUTOR - INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY)
- Disconnect the 3C power distributor (engine room junction block assembly) connector.
- Disconnect the 2F instrument panel junction block assembly connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table.
Standard Resistance

- INSPECT INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY
- Remove the instrument panel junction block assembly.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance

- REPLACE POWER DISTRIBUTOR (ENGINE ROOM JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY). Refer to COMPONENTS
- REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU). Refer to COMPONENTS
- PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE. Refer to PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
