Indicator Circuit: Procedure

  1. CHECK ECUS CONNECTED TO CAN BUS 
    1. Turn the power switch OFF.
    2. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    3. Check the ECUs connected to CAN bus. Refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM .
      RESULT

      Result Proceed to
      No malfunction appears A
      Malfunction appears B

    B → See step   6 

    A: Go to next step 

  2. CHECK DTC (ALL) 
    1. Turn the power switch OFF.
    2. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    3. Check for all DTCs.
      RESULT

      Result Proceed to
      DTC is not output A
      CAN system DTC is output B
      LIN system DTC is output C

    C → See step   7 

    B → See step   6 

    A: Go to next step 

  3. CHECK INDICATOR LIGHT OPERATION (ACTIVE TEST) 
    1. Turn the power switch OFF.
    2. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    3. Turn the power switch ON (IG) and the Techstream ON.
    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Combination Meter / Active Test.
    5. Check the condition of the absorber control indicator light and height control indicator light by operating the Techstream.
      COMBINATION METER

      Tester Display Test Part Control Range Diagnostic Note
      Indicat. TEMS Sports Absorber control indicator light (SPORT) ON or OFF -
      Indicat. Height High Height control indicator light (HEIGHT HIGH) ON or OFF -
      Indicat. TEMS Comfort Absorber control indicator light (COMFORT) ON or OFF -

      OK

      Indicator light turns on when operating the Techstream.

    NG → See step   8 

    OK: Go to next step 

  4. CHECK SWITCH SIGNAL (SUSPENSION CONTROL ECU DATA LIST) 
    1. Turn the power switch OFF.
    2. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    3. Turn the power switch ON (IG) and the Techstream ON.
    4. Enter the following menus: Chassis / Air suspension / Data List.
    5. Select each item below in the DATA LIST and read its value displayed on the Techstream screen.
      AIR SUSPENSION

      COMFORT Switch Absorber control switch (COMFORT) /

      ON: COMFORT
      OFF: NORMAL

      SPORT switch Absorber control switch (SPORT) /

      Damping Force Switch 1 Height control switch (HEIGHT HIGH) /
      ON or OFF
      ON: Switch is pressed and held
      OFF: Switch is not pressed
      -

      OK

      On the Techstream screen, item changes between ON and OFF according to switch operation.

    NG → See step   5 

    OK → See step   9 

  5. CHECK SWITCH SIGNAL (COMBINATION SWITCH DATA LIST) 
    1. Turn the power switch OFF.
    2. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    3. Turn the power switch ON (IG) and the Techstream ON.
    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Center Console Switch / Data List.
    5. Select each item below in the DATA LIST and read its value displayed on the Techstream screen.
      CENTER CONSOLE SWITCH

      HEIGHT HIGH Switch Height control switch (HEIGHT HIGH) /

      ON: Switch is pressed and held
      OFF: Switch is not pressed

      On the Techstream screen, item changes between ON and OFF according to switch operation.

    NG → See step   11 

    OK → See step   10 

  6. GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM (HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING). Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING 
  7. GO TO LIN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM (HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING). Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING 
  8. GO TO METER / GAUGE SYSTEM (HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING). Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING 
  9. PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE. Refer to  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE 
  10. REPLACE SUSPENSION CONTROL ECU. Refer to  REMOVAL 
  11. REPLACE COMBINATION SWITCH. Refer to  REMOVAL
