DTC C1761: Continuous Electric Current to Height Control Compressor Motor: Procedure
- CLEAR DTC
- Clear the DTC. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .
NEXT: Go to next step
- INSPECT FOR AIR LEAK
- Check for air leak. Refer to OPERATION CHECK

OK
No leaks.
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE AIR TUBE
OK: Go to next step
- Check for air leak. Refer to OPERATION CHECK

- INSPECT IF FRONT HEIGHT CONTROL VALVE IS STUCK
- Remove the front height control valve. Refer to REMOVAL .
- Check the front height control valve (valve RH).

- INSPECT IF REAR HEIGHT CONTROL VALVE IS STUCK
- Remove the rear height control valve. Refer to REMOVAL .
- Check the rear height control valve (valve RH).

- INSPECT IF HEIGHT CONTROL COMPRESSOR IS STUCK
- Remove the height control compressor. Refer to REMOVAL .
- Inspect if the exhaust valve is stuck.
- Inspect if the compressor is stuck.

- Apply 12 V battery voltage to the compressor motor and check the operation of the motor.
OK
Measurement Condition Specified Condition 12 V battery positive (+) → Terminal 1 (B)
12 V battery negative (-) → Terminal 2 (E)Motor operates NOTE:- Do not allow the motor to operate for approximately 60 seconds or more.
- If the compressor is shorted, locked, or has a similar type of malfunction, a large amount of current will be flowing. Therefore, if the motor does not operate, immediately stop this inspection.
- Apply 12 V battery voltage to the compressor motor and check the operation of the motor.

- INSPECT SUSPENSION CONTROL RELAY (AIR SUS)
- Turn the power switch OFF.
- Remove the suspension control relay from the engine room No. 5 relay block.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 3 - 5 When 12 V battery voltage is not applied to terminal 1 and 2 10 kΩ or higher When 12 V battery voltage is applied to terminal 1 and 2 Below 1 Ω
NG → REPLACE SUSPENSION CONTROL RELAY

- REPLACE HEIGHT CONTROL COMPRESSOR. Refer to REMOVAL
- REPLACE SUSPENSION CONTROL ECU. Refer to REMOVAL
- REPLACE FRONT HEIGHT CONTROL VALVE. Refer to REMOVAL
- REPLACE REAR HEIGHT CONTROL VALVE. Refer to REMOVAL
