DTC P3176-863: Transmission Oil Pump Motor Coil Temperature Sensor Circuit Low: Procedure
- CLEAR DTC
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the power switch on (IG).
- Select the following menu items: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.
- Read and record the DTCs and freeze frame data.
- Select the following menu items: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.
- Clear DTCs and freeze frame data.
NEXT: Go to next step
- READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (OPM TEMPERATURE)
- Select the following menu items: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Data List / OPM Temperature.
- Read the data list.
Result
Tester Display Proceed to 392°F (200°C) (short to GND) A Approximately equal to the actual temperature B

- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
- Turn the power switch off.
- Disconnect connectors A74 and E55 from the hybrid vehicle control ECU.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

- CHECK OIL WITH MOTOR PUMP ASSEMBLY (OIL PUMP MOTOR TEMPERATURE SENSOR)
- Turn the power switch off.
- Disconnect the oil pump motor temperature sensor connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
