DTC P0343-886: Camshaft Position Sensor "A" Circuit High Input: Procedure
- CHECK DTC OUTPUT (HV)
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the power switch on (IG).
- Select the following menu items: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.
- Check if DTCs are output.
Result
Result Proceed to P0343-886 only is output. A P0343-747 is also output. B

- CHECK CONNECTOR CONNECTION CONDITION (HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU CONNECTOR)
- Check the connections of the hybrid vehicle control ECU connectors.
OK
The connectors are connected securely and there are no contact problems.
NG → CONNECT SECURELY
OK: Go to next step
- Check the connections of the hybrid vehicle control ECU connectors.
- CHECK CONNECTOR CONNECTION CONDITION (ECM CONNECTOR)
- Check the connections of the ECM connectors.
OK
The connectors are connected securely and there are no contact problems.
NG → CONNECT SECURELY
OK: Go to next step
- Check the connections of the ECM connectors.
- CHECK HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU (CHECK WAVEFORM)
- Connect an oscilloscope to the hybrid vehicle control ECU terminals specified in the table below, and measure the waveform.

- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU)
- Turn the power switch on (IG).
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard voltage

NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

- CHECK HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU
- Turn the power switch off.
- Disconnect connector A75 from the hybrid vehicle control ECU.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance

OK: Go to next step
- CHECK INVERTER WITH CONVERTER ASSEMBLY (MG ECU) WARNING:
Be sure to wear insulated gloves.
- Turn the power switch off.
- Remove the service plug grip. Refer to PRECAUTION .
- Disconnect the low voltage connector from the inverter with converter assembly.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance
Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition A77-16 (GI) - A77-30 (GND1) Power switch off 10 kΩ or higher
NG → See step 13
OK: Go to next step
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU - ECM)
- Disconnect connector A14 from the ECM.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
