- CHECK FOR DTC (CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM)
- Clear the DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .
- Check for DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR

- Disconnect the z57 curtain switch connector.
- Disconnect the z56 power seat switch connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition z57-8 (SW1) - z56-20 (SW1) Always Below 1 Ω z57-15 (GND) - z56-5 (GND) Always Below 1 Ω z57-8 (SW1) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher z57-15 (GND) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: Go to next step
- REPLACE CURTAIN SWITCH ASSEMBLY (REAR SUNSHADE SWITCH)
- Temporarily replace the curtain switch assembly with a new or normally functioning one.
HINT:
- for Power Seat. Refer to DISASSEMBLY
- for Ottoman. Refer to DISASSEMBLY
- for Fixed Seat Type. Refer to DISASSEMBLY
- Check that the rear sunshade can be raised and lowered by using the curtain switch assembly.
