DTC C1762: Continuous Electric Current to Exhaust Solenoid: Procedure

  1. CHECK AIR TUBE 
    1. Check if any of the air tubes are clogged.

      OK

      No clogs.

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE AIR TUBE 

    OK: Go to next step 

  2. INSPECT IF FRONT HEIGHT CONTROL VALVE IS STUCK 
    1. Remove the front height control valve. Refer to REMOVAL .
    2. Check the front height control valve RH valve.

      1. Connect terminal 1 (RH+) to the battery positive (+) terminal, and terminal 2 (E) to the battery negative (-) terminal.
      2. Check the operating sound of the height control valve.

        OK

        It makes an operating sound (click).

    3. Check the front height control valve LH valve.

      1. Connect terminal 3 (LH+) to the battery positive (+) terminal, and terminal 2 (E) to the battery negative (-) terminal.
      2. Check the operating sound of the height control valve.

        OK

        It makes an operating sound (click).

    NG → See step   5 

    OK: Go to next step 

  3. INSPECT IF REAR HEIGHT CONTROL VALVE IS STUCK 
    1. Remove the rear height control valve. Refer to REMOVAL .
    2. Check the rear height control valve RH valve.

      1. Connect terminal 1 (+RH) to the battery positive (+) terminal, and terminal 2 (E) to the battery negative (-) terminal.
      2. Check the operating sound of the height control valve.

        OK

        It makes an operating sound (click).

    3. Check the rear height control valve LH valve.

      1. Connect terminal 3 (+LH) to the battery positive (+) terminal, and terminal 2 (E) to the battery negative (-) terminal.
      2. Check the operating sound of the height control valve.

        OK

        It makes an operating sound (click).

    NG → See step   8 

    OK: Go to next step 

  4. INSPECT IF HEIGHT CONTROL COMPRESSOR EXHAUST VALVE IS STUCK 
    1. Remove the height control compressor. Refer to REMOVAL .
    2. Inspect if exhaust valve is stuck:

      1. Connect terminal 1 to the battery positive (+) terminal, and terminal 2 to the battery negative (-) terminal.
      2. Check the operating sound of the height control valve.

        OK

        It makes an operating sound (click).

    NG → See step   6 

    OK → See step   7 

  5. REPLACE FRONT HEIGHT CONTROL VALVE. Refer to  REMOVAL 
  6. REPLACE HEIGHT CONTROL COMPRESSOR. Refer to  REMOVAL 
  7. REPLACE SUSPENSION CONTROL ECU. Refer to  REMOVAL 
  8. REPLACE REAR HEIGHT CONTROL VALVE. Refer to  REMOVAL
