DTC B2563: Motor Lock in Package Tray Motor Circuit: Procedure
- INSPECT PACKAGE TRAY TRIM BRACKET (MAIN PACKAGE TRAY MOTOR)
- Remove the package tray trim bracket.TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION
*1 Component without harness connected
(Package Tray Trim Bracket)*2 Deployed (fully extended) *3 Stowed (partially extended) *4 Tilted up - Apply battery voltage and check operation of the package tray trim bracket.
OK
Measurement Condition Specified Condition Battery positive (+) → 4 (MPM+)
Battery negative (-) → 8 (MPM-)Main package tray tilted up Battery positive (+) → 8 (MPM-)
Battery negative (-) → 4 (MPM+)Main package tray deployed - Connect an electrical tester DC 400 A probe to the wire harness of the motor.NOTE:
Match the arrow mark of the probe with the direction of the current flow.
- Measure the current according to the value(s) in the table below.NOTE:
- Make sure to perform the inspection after the motor cools down sufficiently. Otherwise the result may not meet the specified condition due to protection circuit operation in the motor.
- Disconnect the battery immediately after the main package tray stops.
