DTC B256A: Lock in Back Window Panel Lock Motor Circuit: Procedure
- INSPECT SLIDING ROOF DRIVE GEAR SUB-ASSEMBLY (ROOF REAR LOCK MOTOR)
- Remove the sliding roof drive gear sub-assembly (roof rear lock motor).
- Apply battery voltage and check operation of the roof rear lock motor.
OK
Measurement Condition Specified Condition Battery positive (+) → 1 (3LM+)
Battery negative (-) → 2 (3LM-)Motor gear rotates counterclockwise Battery positive (+) → 2 (3LM-)
Battery negative (-) → 1 (3LM+)Motor gear rotates clockwise - Connect an electrical tester DC 400 A probe to the wire harness of the motor.NOTE:
Match the arrow mark of the probe with the direction of the current flow.
- Measure the current according to the value(s) in the table below.NOTE:
Make sure to perform the inspection after the motor cools down sufficiently. Otherwise the result may not meet the specified condition due to protection circuit operation in the motor.
Standard Current
