DTC B2566: Quarter Window Switch RH Abnormal Operation: Procedure

  1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (RH QUARTER WINDOW SW) 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Retractable Hardtop / Data List.
    5. Read the Data List according to the display on the Techstream.
      RETRACTABLE HARDTOP (SLIDING ROOF CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY)

      Tester Display Measurement Item/Range Normal Condition Diagnostic Note
      RH Quarter Window SW Quarter window limit switch RH signal/ON or OFF ON: Quarter window limit switch RH on (quarter window glass not fully closed)
      OFF: Quarter window limit switch RH off (quarter window glass fully closed)
      -

      OK

      The Techstream display changes according to condition as shown in the table.

    NG → See step   2 

    OK → REPLACE SLIDING ROOF CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY 

  2. CHECK POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY RH (WINDOW REGULATOR LIMIT SWITCH) 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      6 (LMT) - 5 (E) Quarter window glass RH not fully closed → fully closed Below 1 Ω → 10 kΩ or higher
      6 (LMT) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION

      *1 Component with harness connected
      (Power Window Regulator Motor Assembly RH)

    NG → REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY RH (WINDOW REGULATOR LIMIT SWITCH) 

    OK: Go to next step 

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR RH - SLIDING ROOF CONTROL ECU) 
    1. Disconnect the P44 and P53 connectors.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      P44-6 (LMT) - P53-6 (QWR) Always Below 1 Ω
      P44-5 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      P44-6 (LMT) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION

      *1 Front view of wire harness connector
      (to Power Window Regulator Motor Assembly RH)
      *2 Front view of wire harness connector
      (to Sliding Roof Control ECU Assembly)

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK → REPLACE SLIDING ROOF CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY
