DTC B253C: Package Tray Switch No. 3 Abnormal Operation: Procedure
- INSPECT PACKAGE TRAY TRIM BRACKET (NO. 3 MAIN PACKAGE TRAY SWITCH)
- Check that the wire harness of the No. 3 main package tray switch has not been pinched by the body.
- Disconnect the P60 connector.

Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition 2 (MP3) - 6 (MPE) Switch pressed Below 1 Ω 2 (MP3) - 6 (MPE) Switch not pressed 10 kΩ or higher 2 (MP3) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
NG → REPLACE PACKAGE TRAY TRIM BRACKET (NO. 3 MAIN PACKAGE TRAY SWITCH)
OK: Go to next step
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (PACKAGE TRAY TRIM BRACKET - SLIDING ROOF CONTROL ECU)
- Disconnect the P60 and P53 connectors.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition P60-2 (MP3) - P53-7 (MP3) Always Below 1 Ω P60-2 (MP3) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher P60-6 (MPE) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION*1 Front view of wire harness connector

NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
