Manual Transmission Extension Housing Oil Seal: Replacement: Replacement

REMOVE REAR NO. 1 FLOOR PANEL BRACE . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 3
REMOVE FRONT CENTER FLOOR BRACE . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 4
DISCONNECT HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 5
REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 7
DRAIN MANUAL TRANSMISSION OIL
1. Remove the drain plug and gasket, and drain the transmission oil.

2. Install a new gasket and the drain plug.
  Torque: 37 N*m (377 kgf*cm, 27 ft.*lbf)
REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 FLOOR HEAT INSULATOR . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 2
REMOVE OUTSIDE AIR GUIDE PLATE RH . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 3
REMOVE PROPELLER SHAFT WITH CENTER BEARING ASSEMBLY . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 4
REMOVE MANUAL TRANSMISSION EXTENSION HOUSING OIL SEAL
1. Using SST, remove the oil seal.

INSTALL MANUAL TRANSMISSION EXTENSION HOUSING OIL SEAL
1. Using SST and a hammer, install a new oil seal to the extension housing.

  - SST: 09325-20010
  Installation depth
  
  - 0.5 to 0.5 mm (-0.020 to 0.020 in.)
2. Coat the lip of the oil seal with MP grease.

INSPECT AND ADJUST NO. 2 AND NO. 3 JOINT ANGLE . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 2
INSTALL FRONT NO. 1 FLOOR HEAT INSULATOR . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 3
INSTALL OUTSIDE AIR GUIDE PLATE RH . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 4
INSTALL FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 4
INSTALL HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 5
INSTALL FRONT CENTER FLOOR BRACE . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 7
INSTALL REAR NO. 1 FLOOR PANEL BRACE . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 8
ADD MANUAL TRANSMISSION OIL
1. Park the vehicle in a level place.

2. Remove the transmission filler plug and gasket.
3. Check that the oil surface is within 5 mm (0.20 in.) below the lowest point of the transmission filler plug opening.

  Viscosity
  
  SAE 75W-90
  NOTE:
  - Problems may occur when the oil level is too high or too low.
  - After replacing the oil, drive the vehicle and check the oil level again.
4. Check for oil leakage if the oil level is low.
5. Install the transmission filler plug and a new gasket.
  Torque: 37 N*m (377 kgf*cm, 27 ft.*lbf)
