Brake Master Cylinder: Removal: Removal

NOTE:

Release the vacuum from the booster by depressing the brake pedal several times. Then remove the brake master cylinder sub-assembly from the brake booster assembly.

REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 1
REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 2
DRAIN BRAKE FLUID
NOTE:
If brake fluid leaks onto any painted surface, wash off or remove the brake fluid completely.
REMOVE NO. 3 ENGINE ROOM RELAY BLOCK
1. Remove the bolt, nut and No. 3 engine room relay block.

  NOTE:
  Cover the No. 3 engine room relay block with a shop rag or a piece of cloth to prevent brake fluid from getting on it.
SEPARATE CLUTCH RESERVOIR HOSE (for Manual Transmission)
1. Remove the clip and separate the clutch reservoir hose.
REMOVE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER SUB-ASSEMBLY
1. Disengage the clamp and disconnect the warning switch connector.

2. Using a union nut wrench (10 mm), disconnect the 2 brake tubes from the brake master cylinder sub-assembly.

3. Remove the 2 nuts and brake master cylinder sub-assembly from the brake booster assembly.

4. Remove the O-ring from the brake master cylinder sub-assembly.
